I have been involved with counselling for more than 20 years - from working in voluntary organisations, to providing short term counselling to people in primary care at GP surgeries and employees through Employee Assisted Programmes. I have maintained a psychotherapy practice since 1998.
I have undertaken and successfully completed psychotherapy training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). A requirement of this training was to be in psychotherapy throughout which I willingly entered into, recognising my own need for awareness, understanding and acceptance. This means that by coming into therapy with me, I am not expecting you to undertake an experience which I have not already engaged in myself.
I am a registered psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
I am guided by the Ethical Guidelines of BCPC and the Ethical Principles of UKCP.
